Like countless others, I grew up listening to the guitar artistry of Chet Atkins. Chet's fingerstyle approach to playing expanded the world's concept of how the guitar could be played, and as a result, hundreds of thousands were inspired to begin playing this wonderful instrument. Those who became serious students of guitar began a lifelong journey that never quite ends.
Chet recorded over 100 record albums and CDs. Sadly, only one was a gospel album. Recently, I recorded a number of familiar hymns and gospel songs the way I thought Chet might have played them. By clicking on the Music link on the left menu, you can hear clips from that CD, Gospel Arrangements Inspired by Chet.
